Tesla Recalls Cybertrucks Over Software Glitch Causing Excessive Headlight Brightness
Tesla has initiated a voluntary recall of 63,619 Cybertruck units due to a software defect causing front parking lights to exceed regulatory brightness limits. The issue, identified during internal photometric testing, could temporarily impair opposing drivers' vision but has not been linked to any accidents or injuries.
The automaker is deploying an over-the-air software update to vehicles manufactured between November 2023 and October 2025 at no cost to owners. This marks Tesla's second recall this week, following a separate battery component issue affecting 12,963 Model 3 and Model Y vehicles.
